Shake Shack | King of Prussia

King of Prussia, PA

King of Prussia is a further development of the Shake Shack free-standing prototype. I developed the exterior form and design elements while coordinating with the interior planning and modifications. Additionally, I provided research on local plants and proposed a prototype landscape design.

My work with Shake Shack consisted of the development of architectural and brand concepts beyond the standard kit of parts that was initiated with the Madison Square Park Shack. Each iteration was conceived as a composite of the site-specific location, the ‘city,’ the ‘park,’ and the ideological American roadside burger stand.
The Shake Shacks required fast turn-arounds, especially on the international scale. This promoted the use of digital models and quick renderings to test and convey spatial concepts. Materials were selected after much consideration, consultant coordination,  and regional research, making each Shack a product of its specific location.
