Cape Cod, MA
Responding to the stresses of climate change and encroaching development, we conceived of the Central Impact Area of the Massachusett’s Military Reservation as a testing ground for tree migration and forest resilience, while retaining the cultural significance of the forest within the Cape Cod landscape. Using both constructed and vegetal infrastructures, we developed a series of scenarios in which the forest’s form and structure is both a result and registration of human and ecological processes.
